TIPS 2021: TWO NIGHTS!
FEBRUARY 2ND FROM 5-8PM &
MARCH 2ND FROM 5-8 PM
AT PARTICIPATING RESTAURANTS ALL OVER ST. JOHNS COUNTY!
Every year, our annual "Tips for Kids Sake" dinner event provides an opportunity to enjoy a great dinner, be entertained and support a good cause, all at the same time! This ever popular event places local "Celebrity Waiters" at local restaurants, where they work to wait tables and collect tips. Then, all tips are donated back to Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County (BBBS).
The local celebs are tasked with recruiting their family, friends and colleagues to come and sit in their section during "Tips for Kids Sake". We also encouraged them to dress up in accordance with the annual theme; in the past, we've had famous faces, politicians, super hero's, you name it! Coming out to a "Tips" restaurant will guarantee you dinner and a show!
"Tips" is the major fundraiser of the year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County. All funds raised goes to expand mentoring programs throughout St. Johns County, allowing us to reach more kids in the community. We place children in professionally supported one-to-one mentoring relationships that ‘change children’s live for the better, forever’. For more information, contact Big Brothers Big Sisters at (904) 829-9986.
NOTE ABOUT COVID: While Tips is a critical fundraiser for BBBS of SJC in allowing us to serve the children of our community, the safety of all involved is paramount to us. We have adjusted the event this year: including only 1 team per restaurant (unless the restaurant can have a team on different levels), requiring reservations so as to manage the number of people in the restaurant at one time, and requiring all Celebrity Waiters to wear masks for the duration of the event. Most restaurants have reduced seating as part of their COVID response.
Additionally, we are following all current COVID safety guidelines for restaurants and ask that all participants respect guidelines and policies established by each restaurant.
If you are unable to attend or if you want to support Celebrity Waiters from last year who are unable to participate this year, and would still like to make a donation, please click the button below!
